Lego Star Wars Death Star (10188)

There are two Lego Star Wars kits, 10188 and 10143. And 10143 comes with a whopping price tag of over AU $1,000 (new in box), and a massive 3449 pieces. But for our money the 10143 Death Star kit (pictured) is not only a lot easier on the wallet (around AU $400 to $500 - NIB) but is a much funner set. Of course that is if you are game enough to actually take it out of the box and play with it, which not many people would be as it is a massive collector's piece that (unopened) will only go up in value.

The model itself is huge, over 1000 pieces, with numerous rooms that depict classic scenes from the films, and which have many moving parts, and a bucketload of figurines some with it, including ANH Luke, ROTJ Luke, Stormtrooper Luke, Han Solo, Stormtrooper Solo, C-3P0, R2-D2, R2-Q5, Princess Leia, Obi-Wan, Chewbacca, Tarkin, Darth Vader, the Emperor, Royal Guards, Stormtroopers and more. We could go on and on about this lego set, but you should go to Amazon via the link below and read the full specs and all the reviews by many satisfied customers who have fallen in love with it, even with the high price tag they agree the set is worth it for what you get. In fact, everyone agrees - this is a five-star, once in a lifetime Star Wars lego set that will be the king (or queen) of any Star Wars lego collection.

We hope to get up close and personal with this set in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for a full review soon. But in the meantime start collecting those pennies.

Operation Star Wars Edition

We were so excited when this little gem arrived. Could this be the greatest board game movie tie-in ever? We think so. We'll have a full review of this game soon. In the meantime click on the amazon link below to pick up your copy.

What could be better than a Star Wars version of one of the greatest Hasbro games of all time? Nothing, that’s what, nothing. This time R2-D2 is the patient and you have to remove parts from his little electronic body without setting off the dreaded red buzzer? Hours of fun for kids (and adults) of all ages.

So if you are a Star Wars fan you owe it to yourself to get on over to Amazon right now (via the link below) and pick up what could possbly be the greatest game ever, made even better now that it's Star Wars. What a fantastic birthday or christmas present this would be. Something someone would actually want, rather than another pair of socks or a crummy new tie. Or forget about presents for other people, just pick up one for yourself. Merry Christmas Me!
